[HUIS x IIE x National Geographic Learning] BLEND, INTEGRATE, ELEVATE: Combining digital learning with integrated skills

International School of Hue University, National Geographic Learning, and Institution for International Education-Vietnam are excited to host the second live Voices event exclusively for educators, namely BLEND, INTEGRATE, ELEVATE: Combining digital learning with integrated skills

Blended Learning is an important topic that has gained prominence during the pandemic. The terms blended, or hybrid, learning cover a wide range of concepts. They all include technology, but blended learning is more than simply replacing traditional teaching techniques with new technology.

To address the aforementioned issue, the event will examine the benefits and potential pitfalls of using the Blended Learning approach. We will see how technology and digital components can amplify and transform the learning experience, and learning outcomes, and overcome limitations found in the traditional classroom. We will also explore how using an integrated skills program such as Voices enables teachers to balance speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities naturally to reflect real life and help students find their voice in English.

The event features 2 key speakers: Dr. Tran Xuan Thao (President of IIE, Former Director of the Fulbright Program in Vietnam at the U.S. Embassy, Education Consultant of HUIS) and Will Laschet (Senior Academic Consultant for National Geographic Learning, DELTA qualified teacher and trainer from the UK).

Event main activities:

  • Q&A with Dr. Thao and Mr. Laschet
  • Survey and lucky draw
